- High school statistics students form work groups and carry out a policy study of issues such as school funding, local economic development, etc. (data gathering complete)
- Missouri Botanical Garden, a world-class resource for plant research and garden design, is in the 26th year of the ECO-ACT program. High school seniors take environmental science and teaching workshops to help 4th graders learn about the environment. We're studying retention of the content by last year's 4th graders, and we're tracking teaching techniques the seniors use. (design completed–in collaboration with Missouri Botanical Garden and six cooperating school districts)
- High school students who already know most of the content of a robotics class will assist their math teacher to teach and coach other students. They will journal their teaching, and the teacher will observe how the teaching skills change. (design complete)
- High school advanced German students teach each other about German states and their geographies. They use the POLAR * framework to make predictions about their success, assess the results of their teaching, and reflect on the process. Various observation instruments, journaling, and surveys gather data. (design and data-gathering complete)
